ARNETTE’S Chop Shop is a modern expression of the classic American steakhouse. The restaurant’s interior was created to compliment the industrial modern design movement, exposing the natural character of the reclaimed warehouse while blending vintage, classic and modern design influences.

The entrance and host area is home to ARNETTE’s knife club library — a spectacular display of club member’s knife pouches stored for guest dining.  The knife club creates a special dining experience exclusive to members, where custom engraved knives are presented table side at each dining occasion.

The restaurant is split into two levels. The dining room is appointed with custom wood and leather booths, banquettes and tables and features a 15 foot by 5 foot artistic expression of a longhorn painted by Carrie Penley. The main level also boasts an open kitchen complete with a custom built wood burning and open flame hearth and charbroiler. Guests can dine in front of the open hearth at a custom serpentine double chef’s booth.

The lavish upscale bar is positioned on the second level above the main entrance and dining room. The bar has a contemporary yet warm den style ambiance with a open air terrace. The ceilings are low and the walls are adorned with paintings of famous musicians of past and present.


Meet Stephen, Executive Chef

With a passion for cooking and an innovative approach to modern American cuisine, Chef Stephen delights locals with a haven for extraordinary cuisine.

Herman has been a part of the celebrated culinary team since the restaurant’s grand opening in 2003, and became a partner 2012.

His focus is on locally sourced and seasonal food products that affords him the creative ability to blend American cooking with southern influences.

Growing up in Knoxville, Tennessee, Stephen would watch in awe as his mother, an exceptional baker, would spend hours in the kitchen. This sparked Stephen’s love for cooking at a young age, and he has never looked back. Inspired by his mother, Herman decided to pursue a culinary career.

Booking Policy
All reservations consisting of 12 guests or more, private parties, and restaurant buyouts must coordinate their reservation through our private dining and events team for all Word of Mouth Restaurants and are not permitted to order from our a la carte menu. Customizations requests on our prix fixe menu options will be reviewed upon completion of this form.

The menu features USDA Prime Chops in a variety of sizes. Additions include chilled & hot appetizers, oysters, caviar, seafood, hearth-roasted shellfish, steakhouse sandwiches and several composed entrees.

Arnette’s Chop Shop does not offer separate guest checks but can allow up to 4 payment types to be applied to one guest check of equal payment amounts.
Outside wine is only permitted with a valid Knife Club Membership and is limited to no more than two 750ml bottles allowed with a $40 corkage fee for both.
Outside cakes and desserts are not permitted.
